The Kroger Health COVID-19 Test Home Collection Kit is an at-home nasal swab sample collection kit intended to detect active COVID -19 infections. After purchase, kit is shipped for arrival to customer's home within 2 business days. Customer utilizes registration card inside kit to register the kit for lab processing. Then, customer utilizes instructions for use insert to complete sample collection. Customer ships sample to lab for processing using prepaid envelope. At the lab, sample undergoes a molecular PCR diagnostic test which detects parts of the SARS-CoV-2. Average lab processing is 24-48 hours. Results are released through patient portal via text or email; for a positive test result, healthcare provider will call. Kit must be used within 30 days of voucher redemption. Individuals may be eligible to have COVID-19 testing fully paid, with no out of pocket cost, when billed to their health plan or the government. If you do not wish to submit testing to insurance or the government for reimbursement, you may purchase this home collection kit.
