Product Information

  • Ancho chili, also known as poblano, offers a nutty mild flavor. Green when fresh, it turns a very dark purple to black color when dried. Its flavor has been compared to a wide range of sensations, from chocolate to tobacco, coffee and wood. Ancho provides a deep chili flavor without the scorching heat; maybe that's why this variety is among the most commonly used of all Mexican chilies.
