How to Add a Patient to My Family's Prescriptions
Can I get access to my family's prescriptions?
You can gain access to prescriptions for children, pets and other adults (spouse, caregiver, etc.) using information from one of their prescription labels, their name and date of birth. Just click on the Add a New Patient link from the Patient Profile screen or click on Add a Patient under Manage Patients.
Can I manage my pet's prescriptions?
Yes. You will need a current prescription number, store phone number, and the pet's name (which can all be found on your pet's prescription bottle). Just click on the “Add a New Patient” link from the Patient Profile screen or click on Add a Patient under Manage Patients.
How do I add a child to my online pharmacy account?
You need a current prescription number, store phone number (located on their prescription bottle), the child's name and date of birth. Just click on the Add a New Patient link from the Patient Profile screen or click on Add a Patient under Manage Patients.
Can I manage my children's prescriptions without having filled a prescription myself?
Yes. See “How do I add a child to my account” above.
How do I add an adult patient to my online Pharmacy account?
You need a current prescription number, store phone number (located on their prescription bottle), the adult’s name, date of birth and email address. An email will be sent to the other adult requesting they grant access to you. They are required to have their own My Prescription account to accept your request. Just click on the Add a New Patient link from the patient profile screen or Add a Patient under Manage Patients.
My child is about to turn 18. What happens to my access to manage his/her prescriptions?
Once a child turns 18, parents or guardians may no longer access their child's records. The new adult can create and manage their own Pharmacy account upon turning 18. If you still need to manage your adult child’s Pharmacy account, you will have to submit a request to them via the Add a Patient link. They will need to create their own account and grant you access. See “How do I add an adult to my account” above.
